Tips to get the most out of your skip
Here are some helpful tips to ensure a professional, cost-effective and time saving, no fuss operation to get the job done:
Tip 1: Whilst visiting the site of your project, bear in mind where you would like the skip bin to be positioned. Where do you want the loading gate to face, if this is required?
Tip 2: Contact Kwik Skips prior to planning your project to ensure you have costings accounted for. See our contact details on the Kwik Skips webpage, or go to the bottom of this post for contact details.
Tip 3: When contacting Kwik Skips, discuss if you may require regular empty and returns (change-overs) or an extra hire period.
Tip 4: You may require loading gates which are at the rear of the skip for easy access with wheelbarrows.
Tip 5: If your project requires the use of a bobcat, mini bobcat or equivalent machinery, please advise our staff. This will ensure timely delivery of the skip bin and smooth running of the operation. We can deliver our skip bins early to accommodate so please discuss this at the time of your booking. No loading gates are required, as the waste is loaded over the side of the bin.
Tip 6: If you require a skip bin to be placed on the road, a Permit must first be organised through the local Council of that area. Check the delay period for this when planning your project.

We have a large number of skip bin sizes to suit your project, starting with a 2 cubic meter skip up to the large size bin to a 10 cubic meter skip.
